Frequent cleaning is not required
The mirror cutting head is the start of a new era in laser cutting. Routine cleanings last 10 times longer than before, making frequent cleaning a thing of the past. Contamination that previously required cleaning of the optics is no longer a concern. Cutting can continue without concern.
Should cleaning be required at some point, it takes just 2-3 minutes: Unscrew the mirror. Clean it with a cotton pad and a little cleaning agent. Screw it back on again. And, you’re ready to go. There is no need to center the laser beam (tape shot).
Durable and low-maintenance
In this new cutting head two mirrors focus the laser beam. The beam is reflected and, therefore, not lead through the medium. The mirrors are cooled with water from the back. The durable focusing mirror is insensitive to contamination and easily withstands a high stress for over a year.
Secure through thick and thin
The mirror cutting head also comes with the proven single cutting head strategy by TRUMPF. All material types and sheet thicknesses are cut by one cutting head, meeting productivity expectations. A further advantage: Materials out of the standard range are also cut securely. The optics remain intact.
