Four hydraulic cylinders transmit the required pressure on the pressure bar.

Two cylinders on each side of the machine transmit pressure force quickly, precisely, and evenly onto the pressure bar. This innovative drive concept, patented by TRUMPF, ensures exact parts because the pressure bar hardly bows at all. You end up with minimal crowning.
The four-cylinder concept allows a flat constructions for the front covers. That's why the edge clearance is so large. And that means you can fabricate even large, tall parts with no problems.
Pressure sensors automatically compensate for temperature variations, ensuring consistently high processing quality. The large surface of the cylinders also allows better cooling of the machine oil.
The spherical suspension of the pressure bar to the cylinders ensures axial exertion of force even when the pressure bar is used in a tilted position. This saves wear and tear on the cylinder gaskets.
