TRUMPF backgauge systems
The 2- and 4-axis back gauge
In the 2-axis system, both stop fingers have the same X and R directions. In the Z direction, you move the fingers by hand. The fingers move forwards across the bending line so you can adjust the position with no risk. In the 4-axis backstop system, the machine handles the adjustment of the Z positions. The 2- and 4-axis backstop also gives you the option of mounting additional stop fingers. That supports very narrow bend parts at multiple support points, ensuring a precise bending result.
The 5-axis back gauge
In addition to the axes of the 4-axis system, the right stop finger has a programmable movement in the X direction of +/- 75 mm. That lets you position even slanted bending lines precisely. A 3D stop finger supports controlled slanted bends.
The 6-axis back gauge
Each stop finger can take on any position in space (X/R/Z) independently of the second stop finger. The 6-axis backstop offers you the highest degree of flexibility. Just as in the 5-axis backgauge, a 3D finger supports controlled slanted bends.
