Faster tool set up, faster bending on the TruBend Series 5000
TRUMPF starts where many benders want to be faster: with the tool set up and positioning during the bending process.
Just like their slogan, "Follow the light," these machines are intuitively easy to use.
The optical set up and positioning aid consists of a large number of LEDs installed in the cover of the top tool clamp.
The LEDs help the user with tool set up and station bending:
- During tool set up, the optical tool set up aid shows the positions where the bending tools must be loaded.
- During station bending, the optical positioning aid shows the station where the next bend will take place.
The optical tool set up and positioning aid thus provides twice the advantage to the user:
- Shorter tool set up times:
- the position of the tools no longer has to be read from the setup plan on the control panel, and the corresponding position found in the scaling.
- Higher bending productivity:
- during station bending, the operator positions the part directly at the tool station shown, without needing to look at the controls.
