Determination of sheet thickness to compensate for variations in sheet thicknesses

By means of the adaptive stroke calibration function and a special tool, you can determine the thickness of the sheet to be processed.
Example without adaptive stroke calibration: embossing too deep through sheet-thickness tolerance.
Embossing too deep

With the adaptive stroke calibration function, your machine can measure how thick the sheets currently being processed really are, and adjust the lower dead point of its ram excursion accordingly.

The processing result determined can be reproduced at will - on every other machine with adaptive stroke calibration.

  • Every part corresponds to the quality required; there are hardly any rejects.
  • Manual interventions become superfluous because the machine measures the thickness of the sheet.#

In this way, sheet thickness tolerances are automatically compensated. The tool detects the surface of the sheet, and the ram control recognizes the position of the ram. Then the ram stroke is calibrated with an accuracy of 0.03 mm.
