Coated Tools

The harder the surface of a punching tool, the longer its service life. Our high-quality MultiDur coatings make your tools harder and more resistant. They prevent particles of the metal being processed from combining with the surface of the tool; and thus particles from the edge of the tool are prevented from being sheared off. In this way, our coatings reduce the wear on your punching tool, particularly on its cutting edge. You even profit from the coating after numerous regrindings.

MultiDur TiCN:
This coating can double the time to the next sharpening – for instance when punching mild steel using TRUMPF lubricants. Even after regrinding, MultiDur TiCN tools remain hard, tough, and wear-resistant.

NEW: MultiDur Performance:
A new kind of coating reduces the friction and increases the tool's resistance to oxidation. This means an even longer lifetime compared to tools coated with MultiDur TiCN.

NEW: MultiDur Alu:
Because of its greater anti-friction properties, this coating is especially suited to the processing of aluminum. You can minimize lubricants or omit them entirely. Moreover, creation of chips is significantly reduced.
