TruTops Fab Module Storage – controls the flow of material

TruTops Fab Module Storage steers the entire material flow of your production and manages the inventory. All machines and universal storage facilities are integrated for this purpose. They manage both raw materials and half-finished parts as items in stock.

Using storage as a transport system
The storage facility itself is considered in the Storage module not only as a storage space but also as a transport system, with which needed materials are expedited to the machines and to the "into storage" and "out of storage" stations. It is also possible to move items from place to place within storage or weigh them for inventory.

Saving process time and storage space
The Storage module optimizes the utilization of available storage space by dynamic storage space management. In this process, for instance, the height of the items to be stored on the pallets or the type of item are taken into account.
By simultaneous positioning movements at several stations, you save valuable process time. The machines work more productively.

Entering inventory reliably
When a weighing facility is present, the Storage module weighs the goods going in and out from storage and saves the values automatically. This does away with error-prone manual entry. In this way you also control individual items on a pallet or the total available inventory of an item.

Reacting immediately to incorrect deliveries
Naturally you also define a minimal inventory or a maximum storage period of your goods in the Storage module. In addition you identify the inventory items when they are placed in storage with a lot number so that when there is an incorrect delivery you can react appropriately right away.

Automating material flow
You integrate machines intelligently. For instance, raw material is made available automatically. The software knows, by means of a sensor, when there is no more raw material at the machine and it automatically delivers new material. The software also knows when the pallet is full of finished parts and automatically delivers them to storage.
