Bending – it's not old hat

How would pharmacists’ drawers look without bottoms? And how silly would a computer look without its housing? These questions would have to be answered if there were no bent parts. We meet bent parts everywhere we go in daily life – usually without paying them much attention.

The many-ton press brake moves almost soundlessly toward the sheet and bends it in the blink of an eye into a three-dimensional shape. But this first impression is deceptive. Bending is a very complex production process that calls for design engineers, programmers and operators equally. Bending is a process that has been with us for a long time, but it’s no old hat.
